How We Know Red States Will Benefit From Seceding

What the Left doesn’t understand is that even though they’ve captured institutions, they haven’t captured many of the people who make up the rank and file in those institutions. While Google may be fully converged at a leadership and policy level, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t many in the ranks (and likely the more competent of such) who would love the opportunity to be free of the petty, everyday henpeckery by obese pink-hairs that modern progressivism represents.

And in many ways, the impulses that are driving the increasing polarisation in American society are that henpeckery on one side and the desire to not have to deal with it on the other. Millions of regular, everyday Americans have found themselves thrust into the position of being “right wing extremists” whether they asked for it or not. The Left is rapidly creating the conditions for revolt and secession – the logical conclusions of ever-deepening social divides and the loss of social cohesion that come with them – by its own inability to rein in its worst impulses and excesses…

It’s not at all apparent that Red states, if going it alone (or more likely, as one or more regional confederations), would find themselves at a disadvantage compared to the Blue states that choose to remain in GAE [Globalist American Empire]. Read more…

Why Smith and Wesson Ditched Massachusetts for Tennessee

Less than six months after gunmaker Kimber Mfg. moved from New York to Alabama due in part to ‘gun and business-friendly support’ from the red state, Smith & Wesson is moving out of Massachusetts – and will relocate its headquarters to Maryville, Tennessee in 2023, according to Bloomberg.

The nation’s largest gun manufacturer cited restrictive legislation currently under consideration in Mass., which if enacted, would prohibit the company from manufacturing certain guns in the state they’ve called home for nearly 170 years.

“These bills would prevent Smith & Wesson from manufacturing firearms that are legal in almost every state in America and that are safely used by tens of millions of law-abiding citizens every day exercising their Constitutional 2nd Amendment rights, protecting themselves and their families, and enjoying the shooting sports,” said SWBI CEO Mark Smith. This is the Next Attack on Gun Owners

California gun owners will soon have personal and normally private information released to “gun-violence researchers” across the country, with Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom signing Assembly Bill 173 into law on Thursday.

The bill forces the California Department of Justice to reveal information identifying firearm and ammunition purchasers to a research center at the University of California, Davis or any other university that requests them. This information includes many personal details like the buyer’s name, place of residence, date of birth, what, where, and when they have made firearm-related purchases, and much more.

“This bill would name the center for research into firearm-related violence the California Firearm Violence Research Center at UC Davis,” the bill’s text reads. “The bill would generally require that the information above be made available to the center and researchers affiliated with the center, and, at the department’s discretion, to any other nonprofit bona fide research institution accredited by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, as specified, for the study of the prevention of violence.” Read more…

Tucson Won’t Enforce Arizona’s Gun Sanctuary Law

While the Arizona state legislature is moving forward with pro-freedom legislation, the city of Tucson has other plans for the right to bear arms.

According to a report by the Associated Press, city officials in Tucson are planning to ignore Arizona’s new Second Amendment sanctuary legislation that prevents state and local governments from enforcing a number of federal gun control legislation. This could potentially bring about a series of court fights as a number of municipalities and counties start nullifying federal gun control laws. Read more…

DeSantis Vetoes Soft-on-Crime Legislators

Last week Florida Governor Ron DeSantis vetoed SB 274, a bill that requires “the Department of Law Enforcement to expunge the nonjudicial arrest record of certain minors who have successfully completed a diversion program for any offense, rather than only a misdemeanor offense; authorizing a minor who successfully completes a diversion program for any offense, rather than only for a first-time misdemeanor offense, to lawfully deny or fail to acknowledge certain information, etc.”

Unanimously passing by the Republican-controlled Florida legislature, the bill allows a juvenile who completed a “diversion program” for any offense, including serious violent crimes, to have their arrest record wiped clean. It also does not contain any exceptions for repeat violent offenders…

“Anybody that sits back and tells you that we’re a model in the state of Florida – we’re a failure in the state of Florida, just like every other state that embarks on this measure,” said Sheriff Mike Chitwood, representing Florida’s Volusia County. “We’re not saying we don’t believe in a holistic approach to juvenile crime. Absolutely, positively. But when you got somebody who wants to do big-boy crimes or big-girl crimes, then treat them accordingly. Don’t try to mollycoddle them and pat them on the head and say if we hold hands and sing ‘Kumbaya’ we’re gonna change your behavior. It’s not going to happen. They laugh at us.” Read more…

2/3 of Counties Are Now Gun Rights Sanctuaries

As of June 20, there are 1,930 counties “protected by Second Amendment Sanctuary legislation at either the state or county level,” representing 61% of 3,141 counties and county equivalents in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Texas was the 21st state to pass a constitutional carry bill, which Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law and which becomes effective Sept. 1.

And while some state legislatures are not taking the same action, county officials have chosen to enact their own legislation. Roughly 1,137 counties “have taken it upon themselves to pass Second Amendment Sanctuary legislation and likely hundreds of cities, townships, boroughs, etc. have done so at their level as well,” the site states. DeSantis Legalizes Guns in Churches

In yet another win for supporters of the second amendment, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill on Tuesday that allows citizens with concealed carry licenses to possess firearms at churches or other religious institutions that share properties with schools.

The measure, HB 259, was one of 94 bills DeSantis signed, according to a late-night announcement from his office.

Florida law previously has generally allowed the carrying of firearms in churches and other religious institutions but prohibits it on school properties. Many citizens would consequently not carry at institutions that are shared by both religious and educational establishments.

The bill was approved during the Spring Legislative Session with a 76-37 vote in the House and a 24-16 vote in the Senate.

Senator and sponsor Joe Gruters, R-Sarasota, said in April that churches leasing school space are potential targets as they bar qualified citizens from carrying and lack armed security. Read more…

2A Sanctuary Movement Sweeps America

One of the most important stories of the year, so far, is the massive surge in Second Amendment sanctuaries at the state, county, and local levels, entirely ignored by liberal media.

According to Noah Davis of sanctuarycounties.com, “1,930 counties that are protected by Second Amendment Sanctuary legislation at either the state or county level… this represents 61.39% of all of the counties in the United States of America.”

The mainstream media seems to be ignoring the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement because they’re only focused on Biden’s administration war on the National Rifle Association and the eventual banning or at least limitations of certain types of weapons.

As the movement grows and more and more counties become Second Amendment sanctuaries, President Biden’s war on guns might have hit a roadblock.

Days ago, we reported all 29 sheriffs in Utah have “pledged to do everything within their power to steadfastly protect the Second Amendment and all other individual rights guaranteed by the Constitution.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in April that Biden might issue executive orders concerning gun control. Read more…

Texas is Now Constitutional Carry

Following a recent trend of second amendment momentum around the nation, Texas Governor Greg Abbot signed permitless carry into law. Texans will be able to carry handguns concealed or openly without a license starting September 1st.

House Bill 1927 allows Texans to carry a handgun without a permit provided they are not a prohibited possessor of firearms by federal or state law. Information on the signing of the bill can be found at the Texas Legislature website. Abbot’s office plans to hold a celebratory signing of the bill on Thursday, June 17th at 11:00am. Read more…
