How We Know Red States Will Benefit From Seceding

What the Left doesn’t understand is that even though they’ve captured institutions, they haven’t captured many of the people who make up the rank and file in those institutions. While Google may be fully converged at a leadership and policy level, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t many in the ranks (and likely the more competent of such) who would love the opportunity to be free of the petty, everyday henpeckery by obese pink-hairs that modern progressivism represents.

And in many ways, the impulses that are driving the increasing polarisation in American society are that henpeckery on one side and the desire to not have to deal with it on the other. Millions of regular, everyday Americans have found themselves thrust into the position of being “right wing extremists” whether they asked for it or not. The Left is rapidly creating the conditions for revolt and secession – the logical conclusions of ever-deepening social divides and the loss of social cohesion that come with them – by its own inability to rein in its worst impulses and excesses…

It’s not at all apparent that Red states, if going it alone (or more likely, as one or more regional confederations), would find themselves at a disadvantage compared to the Blue states that choose to remain in GAE [Globalist American Empire]. Read more…

Minneapolis Voters Reject “Defund the Police”

Perhaps Minneapolis voters reacted on Tuesday to the frightening escalation in the city’s violence, or perhaps they read the opinion piece written by Cicely Davis on Human Events Monday. Whatever the reason, voters on Tuesday rejected the city’s attempt to eliminate their police department.

The measure, included on the ballot, asked voters whether they wanted to amend the city’s charter to replace the Minneapolis Police Department with a simple Department of Public Safety.

As reported by Just the News, the initiative would have removed language from the charter related to the agency, including funding requirements and would have divided control of public safety between the mayor and City Council. Read more…

SCOTUS to Codify Concealed Carry Rights?

A Supreme Court case challenging the state of New York’s “may-issue” concealed carry permit system could prove to have serious national Second Amendment implications, potentially enshrining the constitutional right to carry a weapon in public and forcing left-wing states to issue concealed carry permits to law-abiding applicants.

On Wednesday, the court heard arguments in an appeal of a lawsuit filed against the state by the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association. The conservative judges questioned attorneys for New York in regards to the state’s concealed carry permit system that suggested their skepticism of the law, with Justice Kavanaugh perplexed that applicants for a concealed carry license can’t merely describe living in an unsafe neighborhood as a just cause to carry a firearm. Justices Thomas and Barrett also questioned a representative of the plaintiffs, Paul Clement, in a manner suggesting they’re sympathetic to his argument that New York’s system violates the Second Amendment. Black Privilege? Somali Cop Killed 911 Caller; Sentence Reduced

Former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor, who was serving a 12-year sentence for the 2017 killing of 911 caller Justine Ruszczyk Damond, had his sentence drastically reduced Thursday after his murder conviction was thrown out.

Noor, who had been in prison since 2019, was sentenced to a 57 months for the charge of second-degree manslaughter, with credit given for the time he’s already spent behind bars. That means he could be eligible for early release within months.

The ex-cop fatally shot Damond on July 15, 2017 after the 40-year-old Australian American called police to report a possible sexual assault behind her apartment building. Read more…
